CTRL 2 Forza 16mm Pickleball Paddle

The paddle face feels like sandpaper (which is a good thing.) I get effortless spin, which makes the ball drop more than several other paddles that I demoed.
I’m 6’2” so I chose the wider paddle (I wanted wider, not taller). I love to hit the ball hard, and there is plenty of “pop”. But not too much power. When I demoed power paddles, too often, I didn’t get enough top spin to drop the ball fast enough before it was hit out of bounds. So for me at a 3.75 rating, a less powerful paddle is a good thing. More importantly, as I’m pushing my game to the next level by moving the ball around the court, this paddle feels perfectly balanced in my hand, helping me control the ball even more.
Keeping it real, a paddle can only do so much for you (it’s the player stupid!) Still, the combination between spin, control and pop, gains me a point or turnover a few times per game versus other paddles I demoed.
My partial regret is picking the green color. Green looks better than blue. But… Rest assured, people will ignorantly comment on the green color. As if the paddle will somehow give you an advantage because it is the same green color as the ball. Next to the ball, the color is dramatically different. As an interesting example, our pickleball court color is another shade of green. Of course, people can perfectly read where the ball is as it bounces off the green court.
Still, if you don’t want to hear those comments, buy the blue paddle. In hindsight, I wish I did. I’m too lazy to do a replacement.
Excluding that, I’m tickled with the performance.
If you’re shooting for the maximum power, you need not apply. But if that’s what you’re going for, you better have the hands to “control” the lack of control. At my level, I took the trade off with this number ONE ranked control paddle. Buy the blue one and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Ever since I found out about Volair, I won't use another paddle brand. The CTRL 2 is worth all the hype. It's helping me with spin and placement and I am so glad I bought it.

I didn't expect to love this paddle as much as I do .
The wide sweet spot and Kevlar face make this a very comfortable padfke to use . It has a soft sure feel .
Yes the Control and spin are great , but it doesn't seem to compromise on baseline power. The blue and the green are good looking options . I'm glad I gave this paddle a chance .

CTRL 2 Forza Pickleball Paddle

I have been using the Mach 2 paddle for some time but purchased the CTRL 2 Forza recently. I saw an instant improvement in my game. The paddle that I received had excellent "grit" and really made a difference in my ability to hit tip spin drives. I am a relatively beginner (just under 2 years playing pickleball) and the other paddles that I used and purchased previously (I started with a Joola Hyperian paddle, then I upgraded to the Joola Perseus but I did not see any difference in my play ability. I purchased the Mach 2 Forza as it was reviewed as one of the best spin paddles. I did see some improvement over my Joola paddles but not significant. When I graded to the CTRL 2 Forza, I saw an immediate improvement in my overall game and specifically my ability to hit tip spin drives.
