PADDLE SHAPES

The shape of a paddle refers to its length and width. According to USAPA Pickleball standards, the combined length and width, including any edge guard and butt cap, shouldn’t exceed 24”. The paddle length can’t exceed 17”. Within these guidelines, there’s a lot of room for variation.

While countless pickleball paddle shapes are out there, ours fall into the categories of hybrid and widebody.

WHILE COUNTLESS PICKLEBALL PADDLE SHAPES ARE OUT THERE, OURS FALL INTO THE CATEGORIES OF HYBRID AND WIDEBODY

HYBRID PADDLES - Mach 1, Mach 1 Forza

Combining elements of multiple paddle shapes, hybrid paddles offer a balance between reach and forgiveness, making it a versatile choice for players who want that extra reach but don’t want to sacrifice maneuverability.

These paddles usually have a length ranging from 16.25” to 16.5”, and a width from 7.5” to 7.75″, ours are 16.35”x7.5”.

widebody - Mach 2, Mach 2 Forza

Widebody paddles are great for beginners due to their large hitting surface. With a larger surface also comes a larger sweet spot, allowing players to hit the ball with maximum power while maintaining control.

These paddles usually have a length ranging from 15.5” to 16” and a width from 8” to 8.5”, ours are 15.88”x8.12”.

PADDLE WEIGHTS

All of our paddles fall into the mid-weight category—but if heavy weight is your thing, you can add lead or tungsten tape to customize your paddle weight.

MID-WEIGHT PADDLES

7.3 to 8.4 oz. If you're unsure of the best weight for your style of play, consider a mid-weight paddle. It's an excellent all-rounder, offering an appealing mix of power and finesse that accommodates any skill level.

HEAVYWEIGHT PADDLES

More than 8.5 oz. This option gives you enhanced spin potentials and striking force. However, you have to put in more effort to get high speeds, which can make newbies feel worn out early in the game. Since pros are more used to this feeling, it’s typically not a huge issue for them.

PADDLE MATERIAL

One of the most important factors in choosing a paddle, of course, is what it’s made of. The material greatly impacts the paddle's quality, longevity, cost, and overall feel.

CARBON FIBER

Carbon fiber is ten times more durable yet five times lighter than steel. These paddles are extremely rigid and won’t bend or deform on impact, but are still lightweight.

Paddles built with this material have a textured surface that enhances friction and gives you a great spin. They’re extremely durable and withstand years of wear and tear, making them a great cost-efficient paddle.

FIBERGLASS

Fiberglass is a composite material with less stiffness than carbon fiber, which means the paddle is extra flexible and responsive. This also results in a higher rebound when the ball strikes the paddle's surface, leading to more powerful shots. Fiberglass produces more power from the stiffness of the face material.

The glass fibers within the resin matrix make these paddles extremely durable. They’re built to endure
