2024 Professional Pickleball Tournament Schedule
With the growing popularity of pickleball as a spectator sport, three different professional tours are vying for the hearts and wallets of pickleball enthusiasts. Currently, professional tours are managed by the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP), the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), and Major League Pickleball (MLP). MLP is divided into two leagues: Premier and Challenger, featuring a team format. The Premier League comprises 12 teams, each consisting of two female and two male players. These teams compete against each other in a series of events held at different locations, featuring four games: gender doubles and mixed doubles, each played to 25 points with rally scoring. In the event of a tie, a singles "dreambreaker" is played, utilizing rally scoring to 25 points, with each player playing out four points at a time.
Founded in 2019, the APP is the only tour sanctioned by the USA Pickleball association (USAP). Currently, the APP has 20 events scheduled in 2024 (see Table 1).
The listing of these events can be found on their website (Association of Pickleball Players). Several of these events are listed as TBA (to be announced) so you will need to check the website for updates as the year progresses and the schedule matures with the announcement of the venues.
The PPA has 24 events scheduled in 2024 with 64 full-time touring professionals (see Table 1). The PPA Tour allows amateurs to compete in brackets against players of the same age and skill level at these venues and alongside the top professionals in the game.
